Our beloved sister and aunt, DeLorus Smith, passed away on October 9, 2018. DeLorus was born on November 12, 1936 in Draper, Utah to Earl Smith and Jane LaRue Alldredge. She is survived by her sisters, Rita Gallegos, Lee Ann Wyne and Kristina Hallstrom; her brother, Leo L. Hallstrom; her brother-in-law, Richard Wilkinson; and many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews that she loved dearly.

DeLorus went to South and Granite High Schools. She was a graduate of Stevens Henager Business College.

DeLorus retired from Olympia Sales after working for 35 years as a cabinet maker. She was a member of the Central Church of the Nazarene and had made many life-long friends that she loved over the years. DeLorus was an avid gardener.

In the last few years she had given her garden ground to a group of wonderful young people who help the homeless with their vegetables and fruits. She was pleased to participate in this program and was proud of the young people she had admired and come to love. DeLorus loved reading and enjoyed non-fiction American history, especially the old west and the buffalo.

She was a buffalo in her previous life. DeLorus and Edna loved road trips and traveled every chance they got. From one side of this country to the other they explored and visited family and friends.

They took their nieces and nephews with them on several of these fun trips. DeLorus was a kind, generous, loving little lady who will be missed by all of us. Funeral services will be at Goff Mortuary, 8090 S. State Street, Midvale, Utah.
