Obituary of DeLoryce Prior Verona-DeLoryce D. Prior, age 86, passed away early Tuesday morning, September 11, 2018 in the Oneida Healthcare Center. She was born on February 2, 1932 in Leonardsville, New York, a daughter of the late Roger and Hazel (Burgess) Burdick and was a graduate of the Leonardsville School System. On December 20, 1952 DeLoryce and Richard Prior were united in marriage in Rome, New York and have shared this loving union of over sixty-five years together.

DeLoryce was a homemaker who enjoyed crafting and worked briefly as a home health aide. She was a member of the Madison-Oneida Amateur Radio Club. Surviving are her husband, Richard Prior; daughters, Rebecca Ewen, Beverly Eriole and husband Tony, Michelle Yeoman and husband Michael; grandchildren, Tony Eriole, Heather Eriole, Amanda Yeoman and Jenelle Yeoman; Great granddaughter, Eila Jean Arnold, sisters, Bonnie Light, Jackie Burdick and brother LaRue Burdick.

DeLoryce was predeceased by her parents and brothers, Willys Burdick, Roger Burdick and Barrie Burdick. Family and friends are invited to call on Friday, September 14, 2018 from 5:00 to 7:00 at the Malecki Funeral Home Inc., 23 Front Street, Vernon, NY. Funeral services will follow at 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home immediately following calling hours.

Burial will be private and at the family’s convenience. Donations in memory of DeLoryce may be sent to Wanderer’s Rest Humane Assn. Inc., PO Box 535, Canastota, NY, 13032 or a charity of your choice.
