Denise B. Pitts, 63, of Florence, passed away on Friday, May 10, 2019. Ms. Pitts was born the daughter of Martha Thornberry Bickett and the late Joseph Bickett. She loved working with children and was a teacher’s aide with Delmae Elementary School.

In addition to her father, she is preceded in death by her husband, William Baker Pitts. Ms. Pitts is survived by her mother, Martha Thornberry Bickett of Florence; sons, Jeff Pitts of Columbia, SC, Jordan Pitts of Asheville, NC, and Jake Pitts of Denver, CO; brothers, Mark Bickett of Raleigh, NC and Phil Bickett of Newtown, PA; and sister, Karen Bickett of Denver, CO. Memorial service will be held at 7:00 PM on Tuesday, May 14, 2019, at the Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home Chapel.
