Denna K. Yockey, 90, of Wooster, has gone home to be with the Lord on Monday, February 4, 2019, surrounded by her family, at LifeCare Hospice. Friends may call Wednesday from 4 to 6 p.m. at Roberts Funeral Home-Sherwood Chapel, Wooster. Services will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with Rev.

Kristy Buyok officiating. Burial will be at Sherwood Memorial Gardens. Online tributes may be made at www.

Denna married Elmer Yockey and celebrated 61 years of marriage before his death in 2008. Denna was an accomplished seamstress and made her own wedding dress from the Korean silk that Elmer brought home. She also knitted and crocheted beautiful items for her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She worked at Frito Lay, Freedlanders, Beulah Bechtels, and retired from Rubbermaid. After retirement, she was a member of the Kin Folk Story Tellers and traveled all over telling family stories to groups with her sisters, Donna and Patti Denna was a member of Salem Lutheran Church and taught Sunday School and Vacation Bible School. She was an approved member of the National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution.

She was known for her kindness, generosity, creativity, friendliness, and her love of family. Surviving are her sons Donald and Mike; daughter Debbi; three sisters Donna, Patti, and Lynda of Wooster; along with ten grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren. Denna was preceded in death by her husband, son Joel, and grandson Jason Marti.
