Dennis Lee Olmstead (1955-2019) MARSHALLTOWN – Dennis Lee Olmstead, 63, of Marshalltown, formerly of Tripoli and Cedar Falls, died Wednesday, May 29th at UnityPoint Health – Allen Hospital in Waterloo. He was born November 7, 1955 in Waverly, Iowa, son of Ted and Luetta (Bergman) Olmstead. He graduated from Tripoli High School in 1973 and served a short time in the military.

He married Deborah Hyke on August 14, 1977 in Waterloo, Iowa, and they later divorced. Survived by: two daughters, Megan Olmstead of Waterloo and Tiffany Olmstead of Cedar Falls; a grandson, Cayden Kressley; and a sister, Kathy (Tom) Cantley of Columbia, MO. Preceded in death by: his parents.
