Dennis R. Schroeder October 21, 1937 – January 19, 2019 Share this obituary Send Flowers Sign Guestbook| Send Sympathy Card Dennis R. Schroeder, 81, died January 19, 2019 at his home in Goessel. He was born October 21, 1937 in Goessel, the son of Edward J. and Frieda Schmidt Schroeder. He was a 1955 graduate of Goessel High School.

A resident of Goessel all of his life, he had worked as the branch manager for Mid-Kansas Coop for 40 years. He was also a member of Alexanderwohl Mennonite Church, enjoyed collecting and restoring cars and tractors, and especially enjoyed spending time with family and friends. On July 19, 1959 he married Lavina Ann Nickel in Goessel.

She survives. Other survivors include a son, Ron Schroeder, Goessel; daughter Jodi (Mike) Unruh, Goessel; sisters, Annalene (Ruben) Klassen, Goessel and Vera (Howard) Flaming, Dallas, OR; 2 sister in laws, Darlene Schroeder, Goessel and Sharon Schroeder, Hillsboro; 5 grandchildren; and 7 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; 2 brothers, Jerry and Clyde Schroeder; and a daughter in law, Michelle Schroeder.

Cremation is planned. Memorial services will be 4:00 p.m. Sunday, January 27, 2019, at Alexanderwohl Mennonite Church, Goessel. Inurnment will follow at a later date in the church cemetery.
