OBITUARY Dennis W. Hansen May 18, 1944 – November 21, 2018 Dennis W. Hansen of Marstons Mills passed away on November 21, 2018 after a long fight with heart disease. He was the beloved husband of Barbara (McDonald) Hansen for 51 years and devoted father of Scott Hansen of Marstons Mills and Amie Hansen and her husband Lorenzo Harris of Mansfield. He was cherished by his grandchildren Marliee Colby of Quincy and Kassidi and Jaxon Harris of Mansfield.

Dennis was born May 18, 1944 to the late Woodrow and Margaret (Doherty) Hansen. He spent his childhood in Charlestown and Randolph and graduated from Randolph High School in 1961. He went on to serve in the Air Force from 1961 to 1965.

He came to Cape Cod in 1972, where he raised his family, launched his own business, Construction Castings, and went on to own and operate Hansen Landscape. He was a unique storyteller with an unrivaled sense of humor. His extraordinary ability to connect with people and genuine interest in knowing everyone’s story made him an unforgettable character.

His favorite things were spending time with his grandchildren, playing golf and running his Bobcat. He is survived by his siblings Barbara and husband John, William, Lorraine, Jane, Kathleen, and the late Elaine as well as many nieces and nephews. His family would like to thank the dedicated doctors and nurses that have supported him, with special thanks to Drs.

Munir Ahmed, Stephen Brooks, and Peter Chiotellis as well as his visiting nurses. Donations in his memory can be made to the MSPCA to honor his love of dogs. Relatives and friends are invited to join us for a Celebration of Life which will be held on December 8 from 1-4 pm at Hyannis Golf Course, located at 1800 Iyannough Rd.
