Dewey’s Obituary Dewey Conley Mayes, age 77, passed away Wednesday, February 27, 2019 at his home. He was born August 20, 1941 in Speedwell, TN, to the late Lillie Mayes. In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by brothers, Ralph Mayes and Ivan Mayes; Sister, Geraldene Warf; and Stepson, Ray Shackleford.

He is survived by his loving wife, Nina Mayes; his daughter, Phyllis Sizemore; his son, Dewey (Sherry) Mayes; and Stepdaughter, Teresa (Greg) Wilder; all of Middlesboro, Kentucky. Brother, Johnny (Betty) Harrison of Louisville, Kentucky; Grandchildren, Thomas, Dustin, Brandon, April, Sara, Samantha, Stephanie and Kacey; and six great-grandchildren. And a host of other loving relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 2, 2019 at the Creech Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral services will be conducted at 8:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 2, 2019 at the Creech Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Harold Fuson presiding.

Pallbearers will be Greg Wilder, Mitchel Mayes, Micheal Webb, Darrell Orr, Anthony Treadway and Cody Fuson. Interment will be Sunday, March 3, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at the Mayes Cemetery in Speedwell, Tennessee. Online condolences and guestbook are available at www.
