OBITUARY Dewey Hobson Bouchillon Jr. November 9, 1930 – November 9, 2018 Dewey Hobson Bouchillon, Jr., age 88 of Poplar Bluff, MO, died November 9, 2018. Mr. Bouchillon was born in Greenville, SC, on November 9, 1930. He was of the Protestant faith.

He is survived by his wife, Irma McVey of Poplar Bluff, MO; two daughters, Sharon Bowman of Nashville, TN, and DeDe (Steve) Williams of Franklin, TN; and step-son, Dr. Kenneth B. (Kimberly) McVey of Poplar Bluff, MO. He is also survived by four grandchildren, Morgan Williams of Murfreesboro, TN; Travis Williams of Franklin, TN; Mitchell (Lauren) Bowman of San Antonio, TX; Carrie Bowman of Knoxville, TN; step-grandchild, Ryan K. McVey of Poplar Bluff, MO; and great grandchild, Adalind Bowman. Also, one sister, Mary Louise (Al) Taylor of Greenville, SC, and four nieces.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Dewey H. Bouchillon and Emily Lois Arnold Bouchillon, and his late wife, Edna Watts Bouchillon. He graduated from Clemson University in 1953 with a degree in chemical engineering. He served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War.

He was employed by DuPont Company for 35 years until retirement in 1985. He was an avid golfer, and enjoyed extensive travel throughout Europe and Asia. Services will be held in the chapel of Hermitage Funeral Home on Friday, November 16, 2018 at 1:00 pm, and entombment in the mausoleum will immediately follow at Hermitage Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be prior to the service from 12:00 pm until 12:30 pm.
