Dewey “Jack” Smith, 78, of Utica, passed away on Tuesday, December 4, 2018 at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. He was born July 22, 1940 in Hartford, KY to the late Glenn James Smith and Ola Mae Alvey Smith. Jack was retired from IBM as a draftsman and from the county attorney’s office in Ocala, Florida.

He enjoyed architecture and mapping, but most of all he loved God. Survivors include two sons, Tony Smith (Tanya) and Brian Keith Smith (Cantrella); a daughter, Mary Duvall (Mike); nine grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; an aunt, Martha Jean Jackson (Ray); and uncles, Dewey “Jud” Alvey and Paul Alvey (Margaret). Graveside services will be at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, December 7, 2018 at Mt.

Carmel Cemetery, Ohio County, KY. Visitation is from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. on Friday at James H. Davis Funeral Home & Crematory.
