NEW HARTFORD – Dhimantkumar G. Mankad, MD, passed away on Friday, May 17, 2019, at St. Elizabeth Medical Center. Dhimantkumar was born on July 31, 1947, in Radhanpur, India, the son of Gunvantry and Kshama Mankad. He was educated in Inda and received his medical degree from Vadodara Medical School.

He was predeceased by his first wife, Dr. Jyoti Mankad. Dhimantkumar then married Marianne E. Boehlert. He was employed as an Emergency Room Physician for 40 years at St. Elizabeth Medical Center, Rome Memorial Hospital and Faxton-St. Luke’s Healthcare.

Surviving besides his wife, Marianne are his children and their spouses, Leena and Dr. Sunil Saini and David and Victoria Mankad; grandchildren, Kirina Saini, Ela Saini and Declan Mankad; sisters and a brother-in-law, Divya and Pradeep Pradhan and Kirti Desai; niece and nephews, Dr. Priya (Viren Shah) Pradhan, Prerak Pradhan and Atman Desai and several in-laws in the Boehlert family including a special brother-in-law, Michael Boehlert. Services will be Tuesday, May 21, 2019 at the Crematory at Oakwood Cemetery, Troy, NY. Remembrances in Dhimantkumar’s name may be made to the New Hartford Fire Department.
