She then relocated to Texas to be with her sister, Verena Nicole.

She started her new career as a Customer Service Representative at Convergys Corporation, subsequently worked at Sprint Telecommunications Company and Google. Denise loved people and had a good rapport when talking with them. She was helpful, concerned and compassionate in addressing their issues with her straightforward nature.

Denise was known to starts conversations with “ELLO…ELLO…ELLOOOO”. She would go Facebook Live like no one else. She was a great reporter.

Her greatest love was for her children and she was a bit protective of them, but her grandbabies put her over the moon. She had all of her family with her under one roof which made her very happy. Denise was a great cook with a flair for Southern food fare.

She traveled to many US states, as well as abroad. She was at her best while being near the water and baking in the sun, a common past-time she shared with her dad. She loved 1990’s music.

She would bust out dancing at anytime and anywhere. There was so much love in her heart when she was with her parents, “Papa Bear” and “Mama Bear” and her sisters. That’s when she was the happiest.

There was nothing like family to her… picnics at Delta Lake, gathering with loved ones, trips to the water park with her grandbabies, continuing her cultural traditions and honoring her heritage. Denise was baptized at St. Paul’s Baptist Church. She knew the Lord’s love and she honored him in her daily life.

She was proud to be a member of Unity.
