NEW YORK MILLS – Mr. Raymond A. “Ray” Morgan, age 79, passed away on Wednesday, April 10, 2019. Born in Utica on December 21, 1939, Raymond was the son of the late Raymond H. and Margaret Ruth (Olsen) Morgan. Raised and educated locally, he was a graduate of Utica Free Academy.

A veteran of the United States Army, Ray honorably served his country stateside during the Vietnam Conflict. Ray was employed by Hoff Toyota for approximately 20 years as Parts Manager, the position from which he retired. Because he was so intrigued by the Toyota line, he educated himself in the mechanical systems and specifications.

Ray was very knowledgeable and competent throughout his career, but his greatest accomplishment was working at a vocation and location that he loved,… because it involved automobiles. His passion was even evident in his pastime interests of collecting auto memorabilia, books, and dealership pamphlets. He was also a baker, and his claim to fame was found in the great pies he made!

His lifestyle was simple, humble, and uncomplicated and his generosity of heart will be remembered by his loved ones. Ray is survived by his sister and brother-in-law, Diana and Bill “Big Bill” Wilcox; nephew, William “Little Bill” Wilcox Jr.; and his niece, Karen and Robert Wilcox. The family honored and commemorated Ray’s life at a private time.
