Diane C. Peterson Langford, age 81, of Sugar Grove, PA, went home to be with the Lord on October 26, 2018, surrounded by her family after a brief illness. She was born in Jamestown on January 18, 1937 to the late Norman & Ethel Peterson. She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Walter Langford, whom she married July 2, 1966.

Also surviving are her son, Ernest Langford of Mechanicville, NY; her daughter, Lisa (Grant) Courson of Cassadaga NY; Grandchildren, Chris (Maxx) Langford, Kate Langford, Jon Langford, Luke (Alyssa Luce) Courson & Niece Jennifer (Phil & PJ) Bailey. She is also survived by her faithful companions Snug & Lady who never left her side. Diane was a Chautauqua county resident most of her life working at BC/BS in Jamestown, then moving to Sugar Grove 30 years ago with her husband to retire and enjoy their remaining years in what was formerly known as Forest Chapel.

Besides her love for her family and grandchildren, she looked forward to her hummingbirds returning year after year and always was sad to see them go. She enjoyed the senior center lunches and church lunches & monthly bus trips and the many friends she made over the years. She was a life member at the Youngsville American Legion Post 658, the Mayville VFW Post 8647, and the Sugar Grove AmVets Post 50 where she loved the Thursday night pizza night and their popcorn!

The Family would like to welcome friends for visitation and a memorial service on Thursday November 1, 2018 at 12 noon, with a memorial service immediately following at 2pm at the McKinney Funeral Home, 117 Main St. in Sugar Grove. Flowers are gratefully declined but donations could be made in Diane’s memory to Asera Care Hospice Erie, 12664 Rt 19 S, Waterford, PA 16441 whom most lovingly and gracefully cared for her and her family in the last days of her life.
