OBITUARY Diane Haeussler Manias April 2, 1937 – December 16, 2018 Diane Haeussler Manias, adored wife, mother and grandmother, passed away on December 16, 2018, surrounded by her family in her home town of Concord, New Hampshire. Diane Haeussler Manias was born in Lynn, Massachusetts on April 2, 1937. Diane graduated, Magna Cum Laude from Tufts University in 1958.

Diane met the love of her life, George Louis Manias of Concord, New Hampshire, at Tufts University where they both attended college. After college, Diane taught elementary school for several years in Connecticut and Massachusetts before marrying George on July 31, 1961. Diane was a proud volunteer at the Payson Cancer Center at Concord Hospital.

Diane and George were married for 57 years until the time of her death. Diane was preceded in death by her parents, Frederic and Alice Haeussler. She is survived by her husband, George Louis Manias of Concord, New Hampshire; her children Bill Manias and his wife Gretchen, of Houston, TX; Xanthi Gray and her husband, Dan, of Portsmouth, NH; and grandchildren, Andrew and Hayden Manias of Houston, Lannon, Kealey, and Ainsley Gray of Portsmouth, NH, and beloved nieces and nephews.

Diane’s family wishes to acknowledge and express their sincere gratitude for the love and care provided to Diane by the staff at the Birches of Concord and Compassionate Care Hospice. Calling hours will be held 10:00am to 11:30am on December 20, 2018 at Bennett Funeral Home, 209 North Main Street, Concord. A Service of Remembrance for Diane will be immediately following.
