Diane’s Obituary Diane passed away on Wednesday, February 13, 2019 at Abbott Northwestern Hospital due to diabetes-related complications. Diane June Hicks was born June 2nd, 1951 to Anton and Valerie Jacks and was raised on the family farm; she graduated from Thorp High School (WI) in 1969. After high school, she went to work for ITT & Hartford Life Insurance Company where she held various job titles and positions for 26 years.

Diane lived her life through simple pleasures such as: enjoying phone conversations with family and friends, being an avid and loyal sports fan (especially with the Packers and MN Twins) and enjoying her unique cookie jar and Hallmark ornament collection. In addition, she was a big supporter of our Military and had worked with various government agencies to help obtain a well-deserved WWII medal for her father. She will be remembered for her tough and resilient strength, her willingness and kindness to help others and her good sense of humor.

Survived by husband of 34 years, Gordon; stepson, Joshua (Jena) Covyeow; step granddaughter, Mackenzie; father, Anton Jacks; siblings, Ray (Joanne) Jacks, Jerry (Mary) Jacks, Sharon (Mark) Williams, Sandy Jacks and Carol Jacks; nieces and nephews, Randy, Jason, January, Kevin, Jeff, Lindsey and Dakota. Preceded in death by mother, Valerie. A celebration of Diane’s life is being planned for a later date.
