Dixie Lee “GG” Drewett, age 85, passed away on Thursday, March 7, 2019. She was born March 1, 1934 in Plainwell, MI to Wesley C. and Barbara E. (Weber) Morris. On March 14, 1953, she married Brendan D. Drewett in Lansing, MI who preceded her in death on December 8, 2001.

Dixie was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who spent a lifetime taking care of her family and those she loved. She was affectionately called “GG” by her great-grandkids. Dixie was a member of St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church where she was active with the Women’s Guild and volunteered serving for funeral luncheons over the years.

Survivors include her 3 children, Mike (Patti) Drewett of Oregon, Terri (Larry) Bullerman of Muskegon, Rob (Jen) Drewett of Idaho; 8 grandchildren, Katie (Nate) Hathaway, Kimberly (Jonas) Palmero, Michael Drewett, Scott (Kara) Bullerman, Dan (Laurie) Bullerman, Pam (Ryan) Simon, Jonathan Drewett, Zach Drewett; 12 great-grandchildren (with one on the way), Kirra, Kaia, Brendan, Antonin, Stella, Mira, Jack, Miles, Owen, Penelope, Fiona, Meadow; 2 sisters, Judy Tink of Eaton Rapids, Merry Scalza of California; 2 sisters-in-law, Jan Smith, Carol Heughens; and her special canine, “Murphy”. Dixie was preceded in death by her husband, Brendan, her parents, and 1 sister, Beverly Coulon. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM Tuesday, March 12, 2019 in Marian Chapel at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church (2929 McCracken St.) with Rev.

Fr. Charlie Hall presiding. Visitation will take place at 10:30-11:00 AM Tuesday in Marian Chapel.

Interment will take place at 12:00 PM Wednesday, March 13, 2019 at Fort Custer National Cemetery in Augusta, MI. Memorial Contributions may be directed to the Women’s Guild at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church. Arrangements handled by The Lee Chapel, 6291 S. Harvey St., (231) 798-1100.
