Dixie (Page) Herrington, 73, of Greensburg, formerly of Ligonier, died Tuesday, Jan. 8, 2019, at Weatherwood Manor, Greensburg. She was born June 22, 1945, in Angola, Ind.

, daughter of the late Burton L. Page and Jayne Atkins Page. Dixie was a homemaker and attended Christ’s Church Greensburg. She attended the University of Pittsburgh, where she received her bachelor’s degree.

She was a beloved mother and grandmother who was passionate about volunteering in the community, local politics, swimming and spending time with her grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Bonnie MacFadyen. She is survived by her son, Derek Herrington and his wife Melissa, of Latrobe; her daughter, Erica Harrington and her husband Paul, of Mt.

Lebanon; four grandchildren, Lauren, Jacob, Emma and Benjamin; a brother, Gary S. Page and his wife Lynne; one niece, Megan; and three nephews, Don, Jason and Gavin. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Jan. 11, 2019, at FREDERICK FUNERAL HOME INC.

, 1543 Ligonier St., Latrobe, PA 15650. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 12, 2019, at Christ’s Church Greensburg, 145 N. Main St., Greensburg, PA 15601, with the Rev.

Jeffrey Wylie officiating. Everyone is asked to go directly to the church. Burial will be at St. Michael’s of the Valley Cemetery, Rector.
