Obituary for Dolly Blankenship Jenkins (Nettles) Dolly Eveline Blankenship Jenkins was born March 3, 1931 in Belgrade, MO, a daughter of the late Perry Vincent Nettles and the late Cora Welch Stringer. Dolly departed this life on June 21, 2018 having reached the age of eighty-seven years, three months and eighteen days. Dolly is survived by two daughters; Violet Belvin of East Prairie, MO, Ima Veach and husband Al of Cadet, MO, one son; Leland Blankenship and wife Dianne of Victor, NY, one sister; Freda Stringer of Potosi, MO, one brother; Joe Nettles and fiancé Norm of Potosi, MO, six grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and one sister-in-law, Erlene Coleman and husband Jerry of Mineral Point, MO.
In addition to her parents, Dolly was preceded in death by husbands; Lelan Garfield Blankenship and Quinten P. Jenkins Jr, six sisters; Francis Callahan, Elsie Wade, Bertha Vance, Rose Bridgeman, Lucy Nettles, Emma Jean Nettles and one brother, Lester Nettles and one sister-in-law, Verda Jane Phillips. Dolly enjoyed sewing, baking and bird watching. She loved to listen to church music as well as watching TV, especially soaps.
Dolly’s family held a special place in her heart. She always looked forward to spending time together. Dolly will be deeply missed by all who had known her.
