Obituary for Jewel Lawrence (Truell) Jewel Lawrence of Potosi, Missouri was born on February 22, 1930 in Jackson, Mississippi a daughter to the late Charles Truell and the late Minnie (Martin) Truell. Jewel went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Thursday, June 7, 2018 surrounded by her loving family having reached the age of eighty-eight years, three months and sixteen days. In addition to her father and mother, Jewel was preceded in death by her husband, William “Debs” Lawrence; dear son, William Patrick Lawrence; son-in-law, Michael Johnson; three sisters: Jean Grasham, Virginia Middleton and Mildred Martin; one brother, Jim Truell.

Jewel will be missed by all who knew and loved her including her two daughters: Frances (Doyle) Strange; Barbara Johnson; one sister, Betty (Daryl) Roberts; six grandchildren: Teresa (Marvin) Oker, Sandra Johnson, Dwayne (Tina) Strange, Michael (Tammy) Strange, Tonya (Todd) Howard; Latisha (Dan) Merritt; fourteen great grandsons; five great granddaughters; one great-great grandson; one great-great granddaughter and many nieces and nephews, church family and dear friends. Visitation will be Sunday, June 10, 2018 from 5-8 p.m. and Monday, June 11, from 9-11 a.m. at the DeClue Funeral Home. A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, June 11, 2018 at 11 a.m. at the DeClue Memorial Chapel with Pastor Dave Skaggs officiating.

Interment and final prayers will be held at Redbud Memorial Gardens. DeClue Funeral Home is caring for the funeral arrangements for Ms. Lawrence.
