Obituary for Dolores Jane Smith Dolores “Dee” Jane Novack Smith, 83, of Cape Girardeau, passed away 4:44 a.m. Tuesday, May 1, 2018 at The Lutheran Home. She was formerly from Colorado Springs, Colorado and Mt. Vernon, Illinois.

She was born July 14, 1934 in Springfield, Illinois to Edward and Ramona Beilsmith Novack. She is survived by two daughters, Sue (Ed) Case of Cape Girardeau and Debi (Jack) Bowman of Atlanta, Georgia; and two sons, David (Tammie) Smith of Anthem, Arizona and Jay (Misty) Smith of Mt. Vernon, Illinois.

She had seven grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren and also, one brother, Don (Joyce) Novack of Naples, Florida. Dee was active in her church, the Colorado Springs Tourism Bureau, the Colorado Springs Zoo and loved to volunteer at PGA golf tournaments. In her spare time she loved to walk, ride bikes, golf and crochet baby blankets.
