OBITUARY Dolores McCrary August 29, 1929 – January 9, 2019 Dolores “Dee” McCrary, a resident of Gardendale, AL, was born in Mobile County, AL, on August 29, 1929 and passed away peacefully on January 9, 2019 at the age of 89. Dee was a member of East Gardendale Baptist Church. She enjoyed spending time with the Senior Club in Peachtree Crossings.

She was full of laughter, loved music and played the piano. She was crowned Ms. Magnolia Ridge 2018. She loved her family dearly and cherished all the time she was able to spend with them, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Dee was preceded in death by her parents, Dicie and George Middleton, two sons, Jimmy McCrary and Tommy McCrary; a brother, Gerald Middleton and a sister, Margie Scott. Dee is survived by two sons, George McCrary (Gisella) and Tim McCrary (Teri); two daughters, Chrissy Lewis (Gary) and Mary Viera (Craig); six grandchildren, Flip McCrary (Marcy), Jason Lewis (Whitney), J.P. McCrary (Taylor), Megan Ford (Josh), Jeremy McCrary (Terry), and Amanda McCrary; nine great grandchildren, Ethan, Michaela, Jackson, Otto, Kailey, Emily, Brinley, Tony, and Serenity; many other family members and a host of friends. Celebration of life services will be held at Ridout’s Gardendale Chapel on Monday, January 14, 2019, with a time of visitation to begin at 1:00pm; service at 2:00pm, followed by her burial in Elmwood Cemetery, Birmingham, AL.
