Avella 91, of Hasbrouck Heights formerly of Union City passed away on Sunday, January 20, 2019. Born in Union City to the late Albert and Antoinette Avella. Dominic was an Army veteran of W.W.II.

Before retiring, he was co-owner of High Point Garage in Union City. Beloved husband of the late Gloria (nee Treccariche) Avella. Devoted father of Alan Avella and Karen Avella-Raftery.

Dear brother of the late Michael and Albert Avella. Cherished grandfather of eight grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Loving companion of Joan Fazio.

Funeral from Costa Memorial Home Boulevard and Central Ave. Hasbrouck Heights on Thursday, January 24th at 9 AM. Funeral Liturgy from Corpus Christi R.C. Church Hasbrouck Heights at 10 AM.

Entombment following at George Washington Memorial Park, Paramus. Visitation Wednesday, January 23rd from 4-8 PM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital 501 St. Jude Pl.

Memphis, TN. 38105 would be appreciated.
