Thomson- Mr. Donald Cason, 80, widower of Mrs. Mary Ann Cason, died Saturday, January 5, 2019, at his residence. Graveside services will be at 11 a.m., Wednesday, January 9, in Savannah Valley Memorial Gardens, with Rev. David Lambert officiating.

Military Honors will be observed. Mr. Cason was a native of Columbia County, but had lived in Thomson for many years. He had retired as a Chief Petty Officer from the U.S. Navy, after 30 years of service.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Ann Cason, His parents, Harris and Bertha Cason, and his brother, Bobby Cason. He is survived by his step-daughter, Lisa (Brian) Bowles, Evans; two step-grandsons, Andrew Bowles and Connor Bowles; his sister in-law and brother-in-law, Jean and Jimmy Howard, Dearing; and his faithful Pekingese, Chip; and several cousins. The family would like to thank the compassionate caregivers of Wendy’s Senior Services and Heartland Hospice.

Friends may call at the Curtis Funeral. The family will receive friends following the services on Wednesday.
