Obituary for Donald Charles “Zot” Miner Donald Charles Miner “Zot”, 83, passed away on Wednesday November 7th, 2018, at his residence. He was the husband of Carolyn (Cone) Miner of Hoosick Falls. Donald was born on February 25, 1935, in Ticonderoga, NY, son of the late Charles and Dorothy (Barber) Miner.

He graduated from Hoosick Falls High School. Donald was honorably discharged from United States Navy. He was employed at Hoosick Falls Central School in the maintenance department for many years until retiring.

Donald loved the outdoors, fishing, hunting and camping, which he did for many years with his family. He was also an avid Yankee and Giants fan. Survivors other than his wife Carolyn include their four children Donald Jr., of Hoosick Falls, Douglas of Burton, VT, Penny (Craig)Lapham of Bennington, VT and Marcie (Mike) Suarez of Bradenton, FL, also four grandchildren, three great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

He is predeceased by a brother James Miner. A Memorial Service will be held on Friday November 16th at 6:00 pm from the Mahar Funeral Home, 43 Main Street in Hoosick Falls, NY. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home on Friday from 4:00 pm until the start of the service.

Burial will be at a later date at the Gerald B.H. Solomon/Saratoga National Cemetery in Schuylerville, NY. Memorial contributions may be made to the Hoosick Falls Athletic Club through the funeral home.
