Donald “Duck” Raymond Eichelberger of Diamond, Illinois March 8, 1936 – January 28, 2019 Donald “Duck “Raymond Eichelberger Sr., 82, passed away with his loving family by his side on Monday, January 28, 2019, at his home in Diamond, Illinois. Donald was born March 8, 1936, in Joliet, Illinois. He was the husband of Arlene (Carter).

Married for 62 years. She survives. Father of six children: Donald Jr., Pamela Silas of Houston, Texas, Donna (Dennis) Giannopoulos of Hubertus, Wisconsin, John (Melissa) of Braidwood, Illinois, Laura (William) Pendleton of Seneca, Illinois, and Jeffrey of Diamond, Illinois; brothers John “Jack “ (Debbie) and Ronald (Mary); sisters Joyce (George) Mank and Joan (Bernie) Burke;16 grandchildren Holly, Jake, Brittney Grahovec, Tiffany Myers, Max Jones, Melissa Lietzau, Dennis Giannopoulos Jr., Nicole Foerman, Ryan Pivonka, Jonathan Eichelberger, William Hesik, Christopher Hesik, Kate Ray, Joseph Eichelberger, Tyler Eichelberger, James Eichelberger; 25 great grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.

Preceded in death by an infant son; mother Dorothy Miller; sisters Marilyn Kay, Ruth and Judy and Linda Gherke and brothers David & Richard “Ricky”. Don was a Teamster truck driver for numerous years. He really enjoyed Belmont Little League, where he was a coach for several years and also served as president for many years.

Don also loved to watch his Chicago Blackhawks and wrestling. Our Dad wasn’t that handy, but he could fix anything with Duct Tape and a staple gun. The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to the exceptional care from the Joliet Area Community Hospice.

A memorial service will be held at 5:00 p.m. Monday, February 4th, 2019 at Ferrari Funeral Services, 1044 Ferrari Drive, Coal City, IL. 60416 with Pastor Caleb Counterman officiating. The family will receive visitors from 2:00 p.m. until the time of the memorial service at 5:00 p.m. Family and friends may sign the online guestbook at www.
