Donald Eugene Phillips (Donnie), 59, died on September 20, 2018 in Kansas MO. His unexpected death has brought us all great sadness. Donnie was born in Kansas City MO on December 6, 1958.

He grew up on the Westside of downtown Kansas City with his family of 3 brothers and 1 sister and his parents Donald and Margaret. Donnie graduated from West High School in 1976. After graduation, Donnie started working at Klemp Electric.

Herb hired Donnie full time and taught him the trade. He started out cleaning parts and slowly learned all aspects of the company and worked his way up to General Manager.

Donnie was a part of Klemp Electric for 41 years. Donnie loved to participate in family cookouts and those late night poker games! .

In addition, he was very competitive over family volleyball games, as many will remember. He loved hunting, fishing and the Kansas City Chiefs. Donnie is survived by daughter Delaney 19, son Kingston 11 and daughter Maicie 8.

Also survived by brothers Ron Phillips, Michael Phillips and sister Laura Lee. Donnie is preceded in death by both parents Donald and Margaret Phillips and brother Brian Phillips Please help celebrate the life of Don by sharing a memory or expressing your condolences to the family.
