Matthew Daniel Baughn, 44, of Lee’s Summit, Missouri passed away on October 6, 2018. Matthew was born in Guam on April 25, 1974 to Riley and Sherry Baughn. He is a father of 3 children, husband of 22 years, beloved coach of youth football and self-appointed fishing instructor.

Matt welcomed anyone and everyone into his life with a smile, handshake, and a joke. His greatest fulfillment was his adventures with his “Fab Five”. Matt’s only regret in life was never seeing his beloved KC Chiefs win a Super Bowl.

Matt was preceded in death by his father, Riley Baughn. He is survived by his wife, Johana Baughn; his children: Gabriel Baughn, Isabel Baughn, and Breanna Baughn; his mother, Sherry Baughn; his siblings: Michelle & Jack Justice, Melissa & Seifeddine Korbi, and Jennifer & Anthony Friedrichsen; as well as, many nieces, nephews, and friends. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 10, 2018 from 2:00 – 3:00 pm, with a memorial service beginning at 3:00 pm, all at Longview Funeral Home, 12700 S Raytown Rd, Kansas City, MO 64149.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to the family to support his children in their college education pursuits.
