Obituary for Amy Rebecca Harless Amy Rebecca Harless, age 32, of Kansas City, MO, passed away on Friday, September 28, 2018 in Kansas City, Mo. Born on November 11, 1985 to Kenneth and Janis Riedmueller Harless of Charlotte NC. Amy graduated from UNC Asheville with a degree in Atmospheric Science.

She received her Masters at The University of Oklahoma in Norman, OK. Amy loved anything related to weather. She was a forecaster at the NOAA Aviation Weather Center in Kansas City, Mo.

She loved her job and considered her coworkers her second family. She was preceded in death by her best friend and sister, Rachel Harless Stanton, grandparents Emil and Louise Riedmueller of Morrilton, AR and Hursel and Elizabeth Harless of Kannapolis, NC. Those left to cherish her memories are her parents, her dog that she adored “Stevi Nicks”, her coworkers and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and special friends that loved her dearly.

A funeral mass will be held for Amy at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Morrilton, AR on October 11, 2018 at 6:00 PM. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in her name to the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation or the Humane Society of your choosing. The family would like to thank the nurses at St. Luke’s North Hospital Kansas City for their care and kindness, Amy’s coworker at the NOAA Aviation Weather Center and special friends for supporting and being there for her through the years.
