Obituary for Kathie Lynne Hudspeth Kathie Lynne Hudspeth passed away Wednesday, September 26, 2018 at NorthCare Hospice House in Kansas City, MO. Kathie was born January 13, 1951 in Kansas City, MO. to Raymond and Alice Parsons who have preceded her in death; as well as her husband Frank L. Hudspeth Jr. whom she wed July 4, 1980.

Kathie was a lifelong resident of the Bean Lake and Rushville, MO. area. Kathie was a scholar and acquired a Bachelor of Arts with a double major in History and English from Benedictine College on May 10, 1997 in Atchison, KS.

and always encouraged her daughters to expand their own knowledge. She enjoyed her life as a mom, homemaker and former administrative assistant with Midwest Grains in Atchison, KS. She also enjoyed spending much or her free time with family, friends in the community; as well as caring for her beloved yard and creating art; such as portrait drawings, paintings and her love for making stained glass.

Kathie is survived by her three daughters: Jennifer Parsons of Platte City, MO. (spouse Mike Mefford) and grandson Matthew Mefford; Stephanie Parsons Harton of Fenton, MI. and grandsons Tyler and Ayden Harton; Margo Hudspeth Opal of Pueblo, CO.

(spouse Geno Opal) and granddaughters Eislinn and Colleen Opal, and grandsons Declan, Ash and Brett Opal. She is also survived by her 8 siblings: Frank Parsons (Kearney, MO. ), John Parsons (Iatan, MO.

), Mark Parsons (Rushville, MO. ), Tim Parsons (Weston, MO. ), Cindy Guinn (Atchison, KS.

), Chris Parsons (Platte City, MO. ), Angie Wolters (Platte City, MO. ) and Bobby Parsons (Platte City, MO.

) as well as many nieces and nephews. Kathie was dearly loved by her family and friends and will be missed beyond measure. A private graveside service will be held at a later date by the family and in lieu of flowers the family suggest donations be made to the NorthCare Hospice House of Kansas City, MO.
