Donald E. Thomas, 70, of Markleysburg, PA, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Sunday, December 2, 2018, at the Uniontown Hospital, Uniontown, PA. Born October 29, 1948, in Markleysburg, he was the son of the late Kimmel and Ida Mae (Frey) Thomas. He was also preceded in death by one daughter, Melissa Thomas; one sister, Evelyn Sines and one brother, David Thomas.

He was a bus driver for the Uniontown Area School District for many years. Donald was a U.S. Air Force veteran of the Vietnam War, who was a member of the American Legion and the United Mountain Christian Fellowship, Farmington, PA. Donald is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Carolyn Louise (Friend) Thomas; two children, Julie Thomas, Markleysburg and Jeff Andrade, Somerset, PA; two grandchildren, Logan and Lillian; three brothers, Robert Thomas, Springs, PA; Ronald (Debbie) Thomas, Markleysburg; Danny Thomas, Uniontown; two sisters, Barbara Thomas and Eleanor (Mark) Dudley, all of Markleysburg; many nieces and nephews; and many friends, who loved him very much and will sadly miss him.

Friends will be received at the Newman Funeral Homes, P.A., 943 Second Ave. , Friendsville, MD, on Thursday, December 6, 2018, from 12-2 p.m. Funeral services will follow in the funeral home at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Dale Rexrode officiating. Cremation will follow services.
