Donald Eugene Travers, 73, passed away Thursday, February 14, 2019 at Hospice of Western Kentucky. He was born in Owensboro, Kentucky on May 31, 1945 to the late Arthur Travers and Ruby Stewart Travers. He was employed at General Glass as a glazer.

Donald was a member of the Baptist faith. He was a mechanic that enjoyed working on cars, and construction work. Along with his parents he was preceded in death by his brothers, Arthur Travers Jr, and Robert Travers.

Donald is survived by his wife of 14 years, June O’Bryan Travers, his step-children Jeremy (Jena) Head, Jacob Head, Cassie Head all of Owensboro, Kentucky, 9 grand-children, his sister, Joyce Payne of Owensboro, Kentucky, and several nieces and nephews. Services will be 10am Monday, February 18, 2019 at Haley McGinnis Funeral Home and Crematory, with Father Sinoj Pynadath officiating. Burial will follow at Elmwood Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 2pm to 5pm Sunday and again from 8am to 10am Monday at the funeral home. Prayers will be at 4pm Sunday at the funeral home. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to Hospice of Western Kentucky; 3419 Wathen’s Crossing, Owensboro, Kentucky 42301.
