Obituary for Donald F. Beck Print Donald F. Beck, 80, of Effort, passed away on Wednesday, February 20 in St. Luke’s Hospital-Monroe Campus. He was the husband of Betty J. (Fisher) Beck. They had observed their 60th anniversary in June.

Born in Lehighton, he was a son of the late Francis J. and Myra (Smith) Beck. A 1956 graduate of Chestnuthill High School, Donald served in the US Navy for twenty years. Upon retiring from the service, he worked for Consolidated Freight for twenty years and then at Cramers in Mt.

Pocono for a year. Donald loved watching his children and grandchildren play in their many athletic events. He also liked to fish and do puzzles.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by three sons, Barry Beck of Allentown, Daniel Beck and his wife Michelle of Effort and Brian Beck and his wife Janine of Sciota; a sister, Patricia Krome and her husband Larry of Gilbert; two brothers, Thomas Beck and his wife Nancy of Palmerton and Phillip Beck and his wife Kalaya of Midlothian Texas; four grandchildren, Logan, Brent, Chase and Heather and a great grandchild, Jackson. There will be a visitation on Monday, February 25 from 10:00 to 11:00 AM from the Kresge Funeral Home, 1763 Route 209 Brodheadsville followed by services at 11:00 AM with Rev. David Felker officiating.

Burial will be in Gilbert Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to VALOR, P.O. Box 315, Brodheadsville, PA 18322. www.
