Donald Horan Lotz, 82, of Westminster, formerly of Eldersburg, died Tuesday, December 4, 2018, at the Dove House. Born Nov. 9, 1936 in Baltimore, he was the son of the late Mildred (Marks) Lotz and Theodore C. Lotz.

He was the beloved husband of Lucille T. Lotz, his wife of 53 years. Before retiring he worked as a Teacher and Counselor for the Baltimore County School System. He most recently worked as a job coach for the ARC.

He graduated from Western Maryland College, Johns Hopkins University with a Master’s Degree + 60 credits. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church. He is survived by brother Edward C. Lotz of Baltimore , son Christopher Donald Lotz and wife Elizabeth, grandchildren Stephen and Brian Lotz, all of Hampstead; son-in-law Robert Wasson and grandchildren Tyler and Brett Wasson, all of Howard County.

He was predeceased by a daughter Stephanie Lotz Wasson. The family will receive friends on Friday, December 7, 2018 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at Fletcher Funeral & Cremation Services, 254 E. Main St., Westminster. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 8, 2018 at 11 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church, 833 Deer Park Rd.

, Westminster, MD 21157. Private interment will be held at St. Paul’s Cemetery in Uniontown. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Carroll Hospice, 292 Stoner Ave.
