OBITUARY Donald J Floehr July 4, 1933 – December 20, 2018 Donald James Floehr passed away on December 20, 2018. He was born July 4, 1933 in Grand Rapids, Michigan, to Rayma Ruth Parks and Warren Kenneth Floehr. Don spent his childhood in Grand Rapids; at age16 he moved to Houston.

Upon graduation from Milby High School, he enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps and served until 1956. He then married his high school sweetheart, Glenda Henderson. Don was employed in the information technology field and retired from Baker Oil Tools.

He was a member of Second Baptist Church and spent many years serving in the prison ministry. He and his family enjoyed many happy times at their weekend place on Lake Mt. Pleasant.

Don’s special joy was being with grandson, Cullen, and granddaughter, Caroline. He is survived by his beloved wife of 62 years; his son, Philip Floehr; his daughter, Myra Floehr Moren and her husband Conrad and their children Cullen and Caroline. Friends are invited to attend the Memorial Service on Thursday, December 27 at 2:00 p.m. at Forest Park Westheimer Funeral Home.
