Obituary for Donald J. Stefano Print Stefano, Donald J. Gates: Wednesday, February 20, 2019, at age 81. Predeceased by his brother, John Stefano. He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Rosemary (Salerno) Stefano; children, Paul Stefano, Christopher Stefano, Peter (Brenda) Stefano, Donna Stefano; grandchildren, Omar Al Jendari, Daniel Stefano; brothers, Francis (Norma) Stefano, James (Anita) Stefano; sisters, Helen Stefano, Margaret B. Livernash, Rose Marie (Richard) Lombard; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Virginia and Ronald Miner; many nieces and nephews.

Donald was dedicated to caring for children. He worked for 32 years for the Rochester City Schools, first as a teacher and then as a principal at #15 and #30 Schools. After retirement, he taught Math at St. Lawrence School and Religion in the after school program.

He was proud of his Canadian background, owning a home on Southern Georgian Bay in Ontario, Canada, where he served the homeowners as president of the Beach Association. Friends may call SUNDAY from 1-5PM at the DiPonzio Funeral Home, Inc., 219 Spencerport Road, Gates. On Monday, February 25, all are invited to attend his Funeral Mass at 9:30 in St. Lawrence Church.

Interment, Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be directed to St. Lawrence School. 1000 N. Greece Rd.
