Graham Sr., age 82, of Stratford, devoted husband of the late Gladys Zisman Graham, passed away on December 24, 2018 in his home. Donald was born in Bridgeport on September 9, 1936 to the late Fletcher, Jr. and Ida (McLaughlin) Graham and has been a life long area resident. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and retired from S.N.E.T.

Don was an accomplished woodworker, who was most proud of the beautiful hand-crafted kitchen cabinets he built for his beloved wife. He spent many hours practicing his various artistic talents, such as drawing, painting, and leather working. He also enjoyed flying, stopping just short of earning his pilot’s license, sailing, motorcycling, race cars, camping and bowling.

A life-long member of the NRA, Don spent countless hours coaching at the Bridgeport Rifle Club, as well as participating in competitive shooting, Civil War re-enactments and gunsmithing. Survivors include his devoted children, Donald Graham II of Stratford, Donna Higgins and her husband David of Clinton, and Ida Graham of Georgia, 3 cherished grandchildren, Justine, Brian, and Kaitlyn Higgins, his great-grandson, Levi and several nieces and nephews and their children. In addition to his wife and parents, Donald was predeceased by his brother, Fletcher Graham, III.

Friends may greet his family on Wednesday January 2nd from 5-7 p.m. at the Adzima Funeral Home, 50 Paradise Green Place, Stratford.
