OBITUARY Donald Ray Sanders March 26, 1934 – July 14, 2018 Play Tribute Movie Donald Ray Sanders, age 84, passed away Saturday, July 14, 2018. Donald was born March 26, 1934 to the late Malcolm Everett and Olene (Bonner) Sanders. He was very creative and could fabricate anything out of metal.

He owned and operated Steel Manufacturing, Inc. for over 10 years. Donald married Kathy Merritt on November 27, 1987. Together they enjoyed traveling and spending as much time as possible with the grandkids.

When he was not playing with the grandkids, he could be found riding his John Deer tractor or tending to his cattle. Donald and Kathy are longtime members of Victory Baptist Church in Paris, Texas. Preceding Donald in death were his parents, Malcolm and Olene Sanders; sons-in-law, Steve Campbell and Eddie Alexander; mother-in-law, Susie Foster; brothers-in-law, Charles Merritt and Jack Sumrow and niece, Mindy Farris.

Those left to cherish his memory include his beloved wife Kathy; children, Dorenda Sanders of Greenville, Janie Smith and husband Ken of Wills Point, Roger Nelson and wife Melanie of Mabank, Donnie Nelson and wife Kristi of Royse City, Janette Campbell of Shreveport, LA, Tim Sanders of Sallisaw, OK, Rox Ann Alexander of Whitesboro, Laurie Cude and husband Robert of Lewisville, Matthew Sanders and wife Melissa of Rockwall and Wesley Sanders and wife Dawn of Rockwall; sisters, Leota Harrison of Greenville, Mary Sumrow of Dallas, Connie Burnhart and husband Bob of Lake Fork and Joan Sanders of Greenville; 22 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, 5 great great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held Tuesday, July 17, 2018 from 6pm to 8pm at the Anderson Clayton Funeral Home, 301 W. Nash, Terrell, Texas 75160. Funeral Services will be 11am Wednesday, July 18, 2018 at the Anderson Clayton Funeral Home with Pastor Curtis Blake officiating.

Burial will follow at Highland Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Jay Nelson, Allen Nelson, Dillo Cross, Josh Stevens, Jesse Stevens, Jonathan Nelson and Zackary Usmiller. If friends so desire, memorial donations in Donalds name can be made to the building fund at Victory Baptist Church, 3155 Pine Mill Rd, Paris, TX 75460.
