OBITUARY Donald Richard McCallum July 23, 1944 – December 13, 2018 Donald Richard McCallum, 74, went to be with his Lord and Savior, Thursday, December 13, 2018. A celebration of his life will be held Saturday, December 15, 2018, at 11:00 AM in the Chapel of Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home with Rev. Chris Minton officiating.

Burial will follow in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 10:00 AM until the service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Compassionate Care Hospice, 4900 Mercer University Drive, #B, Macon, 31210.

Don was born in Warner Robins, Georgia, to the late Catherine and Virgil McCallum and was preceded in death by his daughter-in-law, Jennifer Drye McCallum. He served in the United States Army and also served in the Honor Guard at Arlington National Cemetery. Don retired after 25 years of service as an Engineer with Norfolk Southern Railroad.

He was a member of Bethel Baptist Church and attended Lizella Baptist Church. Don was an avid hunter and fisherman. Survivors include his wife, Ann Moxley McCallum; children, Wade McCallum, Amy (Mike) Stokes, and Kristen McCallum; grandchildren, Trevor Stokes, Peyton Stokes, Julianna McCallum, and Annsleigh Stokes; great grandchild, Savannah Stokes; brothers, Virgil D. McCallum, Jr., Jimmy L. McCallum and Preston T. McCallum; and sisters, Linda Malone, Brenda Veronee, Vickie Mishoe and Cathy Jones.
