Obituary for Mr. Donald W. Meares Sr. Meares, Donald W. Sr, 78, passed away on April 28, 2018 in St. Petersburg. He was born on May 14, 1939 in Bainbridge, Georgia. The family moved back to St. Petersburg when he was 7 years old.

The family started Meares Nursery their family owned and operated plant nursery. After many years he left the family nursery and went into a multitude of different occupations including a manager at a RV resort and Butlers Nursery. Once retired he enjoyed building RC cars and raced them on a track he built.

He is survived by his wife of 30years, Janet Meares and her children Joyce, Jean, James and John; his children Alysia, Donald Jr. and Eli; grandchildren Shawn, Sophia, Mason, Eliana, Isaac and Isla; great grandchild Lia. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 12 at 11am at Memorial Park Funeral Home. To send flowers or a memorial gift to the family of Mr. Donald W.
