Donna M. (Burr) Busch, 66, of Brockton, passed away Jan. 28, 2019 at home with family by her side under hospice care after a 2-year illness with pancreatic cancer. She never complained or said “Why Me?

” and her battle was fought with grace and courage. Donna was born in Plymouth, a daughter of the late Robert C. Burr Sr. and Marilyn M. (Celia) Burr. She worked for the U.S. Postal Service from 1985 to 2000 then was a school bus driver for First Student from 2000 to 2014.

Her nature was to put family and friends first, not herself. Donna enjoyed gambling, playing cards, coloring and doing yard work even until last summer. She was the beloved mother of Brian Busch (and Carrie who helped care for Donna) and Daniel Busch, all of Brockton, loving sister of Carlton E. Burr Sr. (and Bonnie) of Brockton, Peter J. Burr Sr. (and Dianne) of Carver, David W. Burr Sr. (and the late Sherry) of Abington, Robert C. Burr Jr. (and Nanci) of Carver and Grace A. Burr (and Becky Steed) of Candia, N.H.; close friend and former wife of Bill Busch, dear niece of Mildred Celia and special cousin of Sheree Johnson; and an aunt of many nieces & nephews.

All are welcome to calling hours Thursday, Jan. 31 from 4-6 p.m. with a prayer service at 6 p.m. in Waitt Funeral Home, 850 North Main St. Brockton, private cremation and spring burial at Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
