Dietz, 84 of Newark will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday January 24, 2019 in the Newark Chapel of Vensil & Chute Funeral Home 1850 West Main Street. A visitation will be observed from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Mrs. Dietz passed away on Friday January 18, 2019 at Riverside Methodist Hospital following a short illness.

She was born November 10, 1934 in Walhonding, OH to Clifford and Edith (Rutledge) Beach. She was a graduate of Bladensburg High School. She was an avid reader and enjoyed playing computer games.

She appreciated her quiet time. Her favorite times were spent with her family. She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Norman S. Dietz, whom she married May 14, 1953; daughters, Debra L. Dietz of Temecula, CA, Catherine M. (Steve) Carter of Grove City; son, Robert N. Dietz of Palm Springs, CA; grandchildren, Matthew Copeley, Andrea Copeley both of Columbus.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by children, James E. Dietz, Barbara McLaren; one sister; two brothers.
