Obituary for Donna Hickerson (Cox) Print Donna Jo Hickerson, 81 of Springfield, passed away Sunday Feb. 10, 2019 in her home. Donna was born March 14, 1937 in Springfield, Missouri to George and Sylvia (Tennis) Cox.

She was deaf most her life and lived a full life. Donna attended East Grand Church of Christ and the Ozark Mountain Deaf Church where she always enjoyed fellowship with family and friends. After graduating high school she went on to learn hairdressing and did that for many years.

Donna was a fantastic cook. Her most important job was being a stay at home mom taking care of her children. She was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband, Jim Taylor, her second husband Kenneth Southwell, and her son Donnie Taylor.

Donna is survived by her two daughters, Jamie Bridges (David) and Joy Mau (Gary); three grandchildren, Kane Ransom, Lacey Sage (John) and Kayla Sherrer; and one great grandson Rodney Todd; her siblings, Pat Loveland, Sharron Coffman, Larry Cox (Ellen) and Brenna Issa; her brother-in-law Den Taylor (Peggy); two step sons, Ken Southwell and Doug Southwell (Bonney) and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Visitation will be 5 pm to 7 pm Tuesday February 12, 2019 in Herman H. Lohmeyer Chapel 500 E. Walnut Street Springfield, MO 65806. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday February 13, 2019 in the funeral home with Reverend Kevin Babin officiating.
