Donna Jean Loomer, 84 of Park Rapids, MN died on Tuesday, September 25, 2018 at her daughter’s home in Park Rapids, MN, surrounded by her loved ones. Donna J. Overocker was born on July 8, 1934 in Brookings, South Dakota the daughter of George Edwin and Lillian Alvina (Nelson) Overocker. Her father passed away when Donna was a young girl.

She was united in marriage to Carrol “Connie” Eugene Loomer on December 3, 1951 at Park Rapids, MN.

They lived and raised their five children in Park Rapids, MN. Donna worked for Evergreen Lodge, Come On Inn, Park Rapids Clinic and J&B Foods where she retired from in 2010. Donna enjoyed reading and being outdoors.

Shile raising her family she raised large vegetable gardens for her family to enjoy their produce. Donna enjoyed meeting with friends for morning coffee. After retirement she enjoyed raising beautiful flowers each summer.

She will be remembered as always being very giving of her time & assistance in helping others. She is survived by her three children – Norma Loomer; Joyce Loomer; Carl Loomer all of Park Rapids, MN; her sister Jane (John) Eischens of Park Rapids, MN; Her brother in law – Le Roy(Betty) Loomer of Crystal, MN; Several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Carrol “Connie” Loomer; her twin daughters Lois Loomer and Louise Loomer.

A visitation will be held on Monday, October 1, 2018 at 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM at the Cease Family Funeral Home Chapel in Park Rapids, MN. No formal funeral Services will be held. Interment will be held at the Arago Township Cemetery – Park Rapids, MN.

Friends may leave online condolences at ceasefuneralhome.com. Arrangements are being handled by the Cease Family Funeral Home of Park Rapids, MN.
