Donna Joyce’s Obituary Donna Joyce Kranz, 74, of Cole Camp, died Saturday, March 9, 2019, at her home. She was born on April 12, 1944, at the family’s cabin south of Cole Camp on B Highway, a daughter of Clarence Calbert and Laura Pearl (Braden) Bush. She attended Ross Creek School and graduated from Cole Camp High School in 1962.

On September 15, 1962, at Mt. Hulda Lutheran Church near Cole Camp, she was united in marriage to Gary Kranz. This union was blessed with the gift of four children: David, Mark, Timothy, and Becky.

Joyce was an active member of Brauersville Lutheran Church, near Cole Camp. She was a nurse’s aide, working at various nursing homes in the area. In her 40s, she went back to school, graduating in the top of her class, as a Licensed Practical Nurse and Registered Nurse.

She then worked at several area hospitals, including Bothwell Regional Hospital in Sedalia. In 2014, she retired from the Good Samaritan Care Center in Cole Camp. She enjoyed fishing and camping, playing cards, especially Pitch, and going on long drives; and she loved taking care of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Gary Kranz; a daughter, Becky Doll and her husband Dean of Cole Camp; three sons, David Kranz and his wife Rebecca of Moncks Corner, South Carolina, Mark Kranz and his wife Carlene of Cole Camp, and Timothy Kranz and his wife Ellen of Lincoln; three sisters, Esther Boeschen of Sedalia, Bonnie Johnson and her husband Joe of Wentzville, and Judy Libel and her husband Dennis of Lincoln; three brothers, Calbert Bush, Jr. of Edwards, Ronnie Bush of Sedalia, and Jerry Bush of Sedalia; eleven grandchildren, Daniel, Michelle, Derick, Christopher, Shawn, Jeffrey, Aaron, Steven, Tyler, Joshua, and Mikayla; sixteen great-grandchildren, Mason, Kade, Logan, Harleigh, Shelby, Ashton, Hayley, Carter, Brooklyn, Peyton, Taylor, Clayton, Leahna, Remington, Kaihle, and Abel; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Calbert and Pearl Bush, a brother-in-law, Marvin Boeschen, a sister-in-law, Sandra Long, a nephew, Greg Bush, and a niece, Shelly Bush. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, March 16, 2019, at Fox Funeral Home, Cole Camp, with Pastor Eugene Moll officiating.

Burial will be in Brauersville Lutheran Cemetery, Cole Camp. The family will receive friends from Noon until service time on Saturday at the funeral home. The family suggests memorial contributions be given to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, Shriner’s Hospital, or Brauersville Lutheran Church in care of the Fox Funeral Home, PO Box 37, Cole Camp, MO 65325.

Pallbearers will be Derick Kranz, Christopher Kranz, Jeffrey Kranz, Aaron Kranz, Steven Kranz, Tyler Doll, Joshua Doll, and Mikayla Doll. Honorary pallbearers will be Daniel Kranz, Michelle Oliver, and Shawn Kranz.
