1, 1958, at Winchester, the daughter of James Donald and Frances E. “Jean” Boyce. She graduated from Valley Falls High School in 1977. Donna enjoyed being a farm wife, fishing, making candy for Christmas and doing embroidery.

She worked in the Revenue Dept. for the State of Kansas in Topeka. She was a paraprofessional for USD 501, working at Oskaloosa USD 341 Schools.

In her youth, she was a member of Valley Victors 4-H Club. She married Robert E. “Jolly” Johnston May 29, 1986, at Oskaloosa. Survivors include her husband, Robert, of the home; her daughter, Megan Johnston, Valley Falls; two brothers, Frank Boyce, Valley Falls, and Raymond Boyce, Holton; a sister, Pamela (Bill) Pfannenstiel, Garland, TX; and many nephews and nieces.

Donna was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, James Dale Boyce, and a sister in law, Nedra Boyce. The funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 12, 2019, at Mercer Funeral Home in Valley Falls.

Burial will follow at the Valley Falls Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Monday. Memorial contributions may be made to the School Supplies Program of the Valley Falls Christian Church, and sent c/o Mercer Funeral Home, PO Box 6, Valley Falls, KS 66088.
