Linda Sue McCoy October 24, 1946 – March 07, 2019 Share this obituary Sign Guestbook| Send Sympathy Card Linda Sue “To-pe” McCoy, 72, of Eudora, KS, passed away Thursday, March 7, 2019 at her home. She was born October 24, 1946 in Holton, KS, the daughter of Claude Eldon and Josephine (Masquat) Peters. Linda graduated from Lawrence High School in 1965.

She had previously lived in the Lawrence area from 1948 to 1972 before moving to Eudora. She worked for the Haskall Indian Nation University as a custodian; retiring after 20 years. Linda was a member of the Kickapoo Tribe of Kansas.

She married Willie Leo McCoy in 1966 at Lawrence. They celebrated over 53 years of marriage. Willie survives of the home.

Other survivors include a son, Michael J. McCoy (Patricia) of Eudora, KS; a daughter, Paula Rockhold (Michael, Sr.) of Eudora, KS; 4 sisters, Claudette Garen of Pacific, MO, Janice Lopez of Lawrence, KS, Wanda Trujillo of Lawrence, KS and Debra Garcia-Duran (Ismael) of Belton, MO; 9 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Funeral Services will be 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, March 12, 2019 at the Mercer Funeral Home in Holton. Burial will follow in the Thunder Eagle Cemetery, south of Holton.

Family will greet friends one hour prior to service time. Memorials may be given to the American Cancer Society or American Heart Association c/o Mercer Funeral Home, P.O. Box 270, Holton, KS 66436.
