Donna’s Obituary Donna Sue Tawater passed away on Thursday, March 7, 2019. She was born Donna Pryor on January 2, 1959 in California to Charles Daniel Pryor and Barbara Ann Pryor. Donna was raised in Texas, and later in life she was a military spouse and lived in Korea, Massachusetts, Germany, and Georgia.

She is preceded in death by her brother Ernie Pryor, mother Barbara Pryor, and husband Donnie Tawater. Donna was an animal lover, and she frequently had several animals throughout her life. She loved spending time with people, and she enjoyed social gatherings.

Donna was an avid storyteller who would light up when she spoke. Donna was a country music fan who would often sing and then confess that she, “couldn’t carry a tune”. She was fiercely independent, but at the same time desired connection with others.

Her family loved her. She is survived by her father Charles Pryor, step-mother Glenda Pryor, sister Peggy Meeker, brother Matthew Pryor, sister Bazie Lilljedahl, sister Betty Fedele, sister Jo-Lee Pryor, son Wesley Cohoon, daughter-in-law Amber Cohoon, daughter Jessica Lacey, seven grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. Her memorial service will be held on Wednesday, March 13th at 1:00 p.m. at DeBerry Funeral Chapel.
