Donna Vollmer, 76, of Falls City, NE, passed away July 29, 2018 at Falls City. She was born July 15, 1942 at Humboldt, NE to Donald and Nellie (King) Gilkerson. She married Harvey Vollmer on August 29, 1959 at Falls City.

Donna was raised at Falls City and graduated Falls City High School. When married the couple established their home in Falls City and then moved to the present family home. She was a homemaker and farm wife her whole life.

When her children were grown she worked at Sapp Brother for a number of years. She was a member of St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church and had taught Sunday School. She was also a past member of Dorcas circle.

Donna is survived by her husband, Harvey of Falls City, children, Richard and his wife Nancy of Rulo, Debra Hauck and her husband Kevin of Fremont, NE, Mike and his wife Toni of Falls City, Kevin and his wife Julie of Verdon, brothers, Ralph Gilkerson of Falls City, Everett Gilkerson and his wife Diane of Waveland, MS, sisters, Mary Fawcett and her husband Gordon of Marietta, CA, Ruth Ann Rowland and her husband Allen of Lincoln, NE, fourteen grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and a great-granddaughter, Alexis in infancy. A memorial service will be held on Friday, August 3, 2018 at 10:30 AM at St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church (6 miles north of Falls City) with Reverend Daniel Gifford officiating.

Inurnment will be in St. Paul’s Lutheran Evangelical Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 7-8:00 PM at Dorr and Clark Funeral Home.
