Kenneth Hays, 94, of Verdon, NE, passed away September 25, 2018 at Auburn, NE. He was born July 24, 1924 at Oil Trough, AR to Bryan and Jewel (Keene) Hays. He married Norma Lea Pearson on July 26, 1942 at Huff, AR.

She passed away November 13, 2013. Kenneth was raised at Hutchison Mountain, AR. Following his school he worked in a saw mill and later moved to Wichita, KS and became a tool and die maker, supplying the local airplane manufactures in Wichita.

He moved to Verdon in 1986 following retirement and mowed the Verdon Cemetery and also had a large garden. He moved to Good Samaritan Home in August of 2018. Kenneth is survived by his children, Brenda Daniels and her husband Jim of Verdon, Sharon Russell and her husband Robert of Jenks, OK, Mike and his wife Lisa of Wichita, KS, Phyllis Grove and her husband Terry of Plano, TX, Karen Dukes of Wichita, KS, Gary and his wife Paula of Shubert, NE, fifteen grandchildren, thirty great-grandchildren and fourteen great-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, and brothers, Herbert, Neil and Jimmy. His funeral will be held on Friday, September 28, 2018 at 10:30 AM at Dorr and Clark Funeral Home with Reverend David Lockard officiating. Interment will be in Verdon Cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, from 7-8:00 PM at Dorr and Clark Funeral Home.
